Gayle and Steven Hislop’s wedding was original, fresh and packed with very personal touches. It really was a wedding to remember.
Joined by 90 close family and friends the couple tied the knot at 2.00pm on Saturday 24th July 2010. From the early booking stages the colour theme was going to be chocolate brown, fuchsia pink and white; a really inspired colour palette that set the Baron Suite off with that wow factor.
Once the couple were married guests moved through to the Bistro Cottage where they were welcomed by a sparkling wine and beer reception and could sit outside on the private decking area to enjoy the sun. Professional footballer Steven really wanted some fun photos that represented him and so the couple along with their immediate wedding party went over to our World of Football for some wedding snaps on the pitches!
The personal touches continued throughout the day. When guests moved back through to the Baron suite for the wedding breakfast all the ladies received little pink nail varnishes, a representation of Gayle’s job as a Beauty Therapy lecturer. No flowers were present, instead large pink ostrich feathers supplied by ‘Roseparks’ were used as centre pieces and a beautiful cake made by ‘The Cake Partnership’ also helped tie in the theme of the day.
An additional 140 evening guests joined the wedding in the evening where live band ‘The Blackjacks’ got the party in full swing and the celebrations continued into the small hours. It was an exquisite wedding with lovely guests and a beautiful bride and groom.
